Description
Very rare and one-of-a-kind ex-United States Navy Willard Marine RIB! This vessel underwent a bottom-up (nuts and bolts) restoration/retrofit in 2019 after serving as a tender to a large U.S. Naval Ship. This RIB was originally built as a USCG-certified vessel to carry 13 passengers and two crew and was powered by a Cummins Marine 6BT210 that had less than 100 hours and was known to have been babied by the U.S. Navy.
Most vessel features were all new in 2019 upon restoration and feature a fiberglass deep-v hull for maximum stability, a non-skid deck with Awlgrip hull paint, an 83-gallon aluminum fuel tank, and re-wiring of all electrical systems and batteries. The brand new Wing multi-chamber, 40-ounce polyurethane tubes with UV-coating are exceptionally strong, puncture resistant, and provide buoyancy and reduced vessel weight for maximum speeds of 45+ MPH, improved fuel efficiencies, and a safe and stable ride at sea. To provide an even smoother ride in the harshest conditions a custom fiberglass engine bracket was mounted to the stern of the original hull along with a Seastar Standard Hydraulic Jack plate. This vessel is now powered by a 2014 Yamaha F250 with ~192 hours and features a Seastar Hydraulic steering system and an aluminum prop. The helm features a Standard Horizon VHF with AIS, Lowrance Elite-9 Ti Fishfinder/Chartplotter, Fusion MS-RA55 compact marine stereo with Bluetooth, and two Yamaha digital gauges. All new custom gray upholstery on comfortable forward seating, custom aluminum leaning post, and aft seating. The center console and leaning post can be shielded from the elements with the included custom tan canvas. Additional vessel features include a metal swim ladder attached to the engine bracket, underwater LED lights, all safety gear, anchor and rode, and a 2017 Venture tandem trailer.
